Annie Gomez was born on March 18, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas and attended Catholic grade school. She spent five years in the convent as a teenager and since coming back home has worked for various health care agencies, both public and private for over 35 years. For the last 35 years she has been married to her husband, Joseph Louis Gomez.
Her art is extremely colorful, well done, filled with emotion and at times shocking. Annie says that drawing has always been her outlet to say what she could not express through words. Her art depicts feelings from her childhood. She emphasizes that they do not represent events, they do represent the feelings that she experienced as a child.
Annie continues taking oil painting lessons at Gallista Gellery and says that she hopes she will always remain authentic in her artistic endeavors.
