This is a double-bill evening of new works.
In m(dot)e(dot): a life experiment, a soul/spirit woman trapped in a game called “the life experiment” played by spiritual saints. The audience follows the character of m.e. as she travels thru millions of lifetimes and is given the opportunity to change her past, present, future. m.e. tries to cope and handle the unseen forces in her world, trying to keep untold secrets from The Saints who meddle in her journey for happiness and her search for love. A multi-media realm of video, art installations, & avant-garde lighting.
A Ranch Home in Manhattan is the latest and last installment of a trilogy of works begun in 2003. Following on the heels of the immensely successful Fringe and Fringe Ability and Higher Planes, this hilarious chapter closes the tale of John Roy Hobson, the reformed service industry professional who starts a new chapter of his life by taking on three major contracts – domestic partnership, new job, and new house – in one show. So put your 401k worries behind you for a few hours and come hear equity discussed in the way it was meant to be…down and durty by a hometown favorite who’s been wowing national audiences since 1992.
* The Electric Performance Lab (EPL) is a program designed to nurture new company works. Audiences will fill out surveys and are invited to stay for post-show discussions. Watch for some of these shows to return over upcoming seasons in expanded forms.
