Due to a surge in deaths from unnatural disasters, a new branch of Purgatory has opened up in the historic Ambassador Hotel –the site of Robert Kennedy’s assassination and now a seedy nightclub-brothel awaiting the end of the world. Audience members will pass through military checkpoints and tight security at the door before entering a luridly ethereal world filled with delicious pole dancers, Marina Oswald Jr., Sirhan Sirhan and a host of real and imaginary walk-ons from history. Inside, they will follow the bossa-nova singing anti-hero Saddam as he battles with bartenders, strippers, the mysterious El Presidente and his own demons. A surreal surround-sound spectacular de teatro, Blood Under the Bridge is an action-packed meditation on war, plague, immigration and other sensual tsunamis.

Directed by Steve Bailey. Featuring Monessa Esquivel, Sandra Dunn, Daniel Jackson, Billy Muñoz, S.T.Shimi, Kitty Williams and others.

Part of the Electric Performance Lab. There will be post-show discussions with the artists on May 10 & 17th.
