Nothing identifies the holiday season better than good food and great gossip. In Rosita’s Jalapeño Kitchen, a small restaurant owner tries to keep body and soul together while around her the forces of change and “urban renewal” threaten her very existence. Rosita dishes out tasty foods and hilariously salty advice to all, taking on the voices of her friends and family. Written by Rodrigo Duarte Clark and created for acclaimed performer Ruby Nelda Perez. It truly is a San Antonio favorite!

Ruby Nelda Perez is an actor who has been touring professionally throughout the USA, Mexico, and Latin America for over thirty years. Ms. Perez, born in Chicago, Illinois, was raised in the small south Texas town of Alice. Ms. Perez received her theatrical experience at Texas A&I University in Kingsville, TX. She was introduced to Latin American Theatre by the late Dr. Joseph Rosenberg, with whom she founded El Teatro Bilingue de Kingsville, which toured extensively in Mexico.

TICKET PRICES ARE:  $12 general admission; $9 students and seniors, $9 for groups of 10 people or more, and Jump-Start members receive a 50% discount.
