We invite you to celebrate the release of Myths & Fables, the new CD of original songs by jazz songwriter/pianist/vocalist Bett Butler, with a concert and party Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30 p.m. The new CD was supported by a performance grant from the Artist Foundation of San Antonio and includes “When Love Has Left the Room,” First Place winner in the Jazz Category of the 2006 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). The concert features Joël Dilley on bass. Cecil R. Carter on trumpet, Richard Oppenheim on saxophone, Lloyd Herrman on drums, tbow Gonzales on percussion, Polly Harrison on guitar, and Gib Wharton on slide guitar.
Myths & Fables is dedicated to the memory of Sterling Houston and jazz pianist Joe Piscatelli. The concert will include a tribute to these two artists during performance of the song “Something You Said.”
