Every year, Jump-Start Performance Co. and Sandra Cisneros team up to host an amazing evening of readings, live entertainment and mouth-watering refreshments to beat the Texas heat. This annual event is directly tied to Sandra’s Macondo Writers’ Workshop. Our featured guest for this year’s event is award-winning author Luis Rodriguez (Always Running: La Vida Loca, Gang Days in LA, The Concrete River and Eastside Stories: Gang Life in East Los Angeles, to name just a few from a large body of work). Expect a few choice words from Sandra, as well as lively entertainment from the Company members of Jump-Start. The theme for Suavecito is puro low riders, Eastside de Los Angeles y Westside de San Anto. So come out in your Stacys y khakis or las high heel chanclas y black eyeliner. Orale!
